Heigl began her acting career in 1992 with the film That Night and King of the Hill and in 1994 Heigl got her first starring role in My Father the Hero. Heigl acting career bloomed with parts in Wish Upon a Star, The Tempest, Bride of Chucky, 100 Girls, and Valentine. In 1999 Heigl was cast as Isabel Evans in the TV drama Roswell. In 2005 Heigl was cast as Dr. Isobel Izzie Stevens on the hit TV series Grey's Anatomy, a role for which she won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2007.
