Born May 8, 1978 in Menlo Park, California, Josie Maran began her modelling career at age twelve when she began modelling part time. At age seventeen Maran signed up to Elite modelling agency and started to appear in campaigns and magazines, in 1998 Maran appeared on her first magazine cover, an issue of Glamour magazine she has since appeared in magazines such as Cosmopolitan, ELLE, Marie Claire, Maxim and Vogue Maran has featured in campaigns for Guess?, Victoria s Secret, Bebe and Andrew Marc. Maran next big modelling job was a multiyear job with Maybelline, she then appeared in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in the years 2000-2002. Maran then turned her sights towards acting with roles in the films The Mallory Effect, Little Black Book, Van Helsing, The Gravedancers and The Final Season. In 2007 Maran launched her own cosmetics range.
