Have you ever lost your USB flash drive and lost all the work on it, or do you get board of having to make backups of your documents? If so then Auto Backup is the program for you. This small low CPU usage program will automatically backup your USB flash drives when they are plugged into your computer or laptop. The program starts up with your computer and monitors which devices are plugged in, if the files have changed then a backup is made

This low CPU usage program runs quietly in the background and will automatically backup your USB flash drives when plugged into your computer or laptop.

The program starts up with your computer and monitors which USB devices are plugged in. The program keeps an individual backup for each USB device, and can be configured to keep more than one backup of a device so that you can return to a previous file state should the original become corrupt.

You are able to stop and restart backups quickly with the system tray icon, allowing you to prevent backing up of a device if you donot require a backup. The icon in the system tray changes depending on the state of the program, this makes it easy to identify whether a backup is taking place.

The program keeps backups in groups of day (e.g. 5 days will make a backup for the period of the 10th to the 14th), you can now specify the length of these groups, allowing you to control your backups more effectively.

You can select how many of the groups (backup copies) you wish to keep on your computer, the program will automatically remove the oldest of the backups if you have more copies than you have specified.

You now have more control over your backups, the options page allows you to quickly change the backup directory and the number of backup copies you wish to keep. It also allows you to specify which drives you always want to backup, those you never want to backup, and those that you should be asked about.

Auto Backup is set to a low priority, this ensures that it will not hog your systems resources when other programs are running. This enables it to run unnoticed in the background.

Auto Backup makes use of multi threading, this allows single and dual core processors (such as Intels new Core 2 Duo) to run Auto Backup efficiently.
